Brandon Tanev seemed to play a big part in bringing a high energy to the Penguins team and I would not be shocked to see the Kraken take Tanev to bring that energy to Seattle. I guess I am torn on Carter and or Blueger over Tanev? In my opinion if I was a betting man the three players with the highest chances of being selected are:

  • Brandon Tanev—bring high energy, great team player
  • Casey DeSmith— a nice backup,3rd goalie option
  • Jason Zucker—a 29 yr. old with some game left to play.

Whoever Seattle takes it will be an interesting off-season for the Penguins and for the NHL. With the expansion draft and NHL rookie draft coming this week, the landscape of the NHL may be shifting.

    1. You may be right on ZAR….I look at his injury history though as something Seattle may want to avoid.
