What does the tape say? :
Positives
Has always played well against older competition
Two-way forward
Hockey IQ is through the roof in both zones
Versatility in all situations
Vision and processes plays quickly
Has a physical side
Negatives
Injury issues in the past
Lacks the elite explosion, takes time to get to top speed
What Sportsvival says:
Anton Frondell is a complete player who could play in the NHL in year one. Although he does not have elite explosion, he is still a capable two-way center who should get top six minutes on day one.
He reminds Sportsvival of Aleksander Barkov with his ability to dominate in both zones. He is a solid top five prospect.
