The Drummer's Life: Joey Waslousky on Pittsburgh's Local Music Scene

Joey Waslousky, good friend and one hell of a drummer, visited Phil's Place to talk about Pittsburgh's local music. We highlight some of Montour High School's greats, Clem Rolin and Korel Tunador, to Joey's regular gigs with Pete Hewlett and Scott Anderson.

We tackled many subjects, including some of Pittsburgh's finest bands, The Skyliners, The Jaggerz, Joe Gruschecky and the Iron City Houserockers, The Clark's and Rusted Root. We also mentioned Pete Hewlett's and from the early 1980's, Novo Combo.

Lots of good stories were shared. Joey and Pete hanging out with Billy Joel in Dublin, to our interactions with Stewart Copeland, a Top 10 all-time drummer with The Police.
