Baltimore Ravens 2026 Draft Preview

Sportsvival is doing what it has done with this entire 2026 NFL Draft cycle: looking at roster construction, offseason movement, team needs, and where the board meets the moment. Baltimore owns the No. 14 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after an 8-9 season, and this feels like a spot where the Ravens can lean back into their identity by getting stronger up front and more complete around Lamar Jackson.

Ravens offseason additions

Baltimore did not sit still. The Ravens added Trey Hendrickson, John Simpson, Jaylinn Hawkins, Durham Smythe, Danny Pinter, and Jovaughn Gwyn, while also re-signing Chidobe Awuzie and extending Tyler Huntley. That is a solid start, especially with Hendrickson giving the defense a proven closer and Simpson helping steady the interior offensive line.

Ravens offseason departures

The losses matter too. Tyler Linderbaum left for the Raiders, Isaiah Likely and Patrick Ricard moved on to the Giants, Tylan Wallace signed with the Browns, Charlie Kolar and Keaton Mitchell went to the Chargers, David Ojabo landed with the Dolphins, and Baltimore also lost Alohi Gilman and Dre'Mont Jones. On top of that, the team tracker still lists veterans such as Daniel Faalele, DeAndre Hopkins, Joseph Noteboom, Brent Urban, and Kyle Van Noy as unrestricted free agents.

Top 3 Ravens needs

1. Interior offensive line

This is the biggest need. John Simpson helps, but losing Linderbaum leaves a massive hole in the middle, and Baltimore's own post-free-agency breakdown says that loss looms large. The Ravens also noted that right guard could still use competition, which makes the interior line the cleanest place to attack at No. 14.

2. Wide receiver

Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman give Baltimore a foundation, but the depth behind them still needs work. Wallace moved on, Hopkins is unsigned, and the Ravens' own coverage has made it clear that the receiver room still needs to be shored up with another playmaker.

3. Defensive front

Hendrickson was a major addition, but Baltimore is still not finished up front. The Ravens lost Ojabo and Dre'Mont Jones, and both the team site and NFL.com have pointed to the defensive front as an area that still needs more help.

The pick: G Olaivavega Ioane, Penn State

Sportsvival has the Baltimore Ravens selecting G Olaivavega Ioane, Penn State at No. 14 overall. Ioane is listed by Penn State at 6-foot-4 and 323 pounds, and the Nittany Lions note that he started all 16 games at left guard in 2024. Baltimore's own draft/free-agency analysis has also highlighted Ioane as a logical fit for the Ravens at No. 14.

This pick makes too much sense. Baltimore lost a tone-setting center in Linderbaum, still needs more certainty inside, and wants to re-establish control at the line of scrimmage. Ioane gives the Ravens a powerful, NFL-ready interior blocker who can help stabilize the pocket, support the run game, and bring toughness back to the middle of the offensive line. For a team that already added Hendrickson and still has playmakers in place, using No. 14 on the trenches feels like the right Ravens move.
